Stargate SG-1 6x01 & 6x02 "Redemption"

Sam: Jonas.
Jonas: Major. How's Colonel O'Neill?
Sam: Oh partially torn ligament in his knee. He'll be okay.
Jonas: Captain Hagman?
Sam: He'll make a full recovery.
Jonas: Does that make it eight now?
Sam: Nine if you count the two hours that Captain Matheson lasted.
Jonas: Right. So there's no need for Ancient Babylonian.
Sam: Not exactly. Do you think you can spare a few hours?
Jonas: Sure. For what?
Sam: Well you've been here three months. General Hammond felt you might finally like to leave the base.
Jonas: Yes. That would be great. Where we going?
Sam: Nevada.
Jonas: Clear skies. 73 degrees.
Sam: There are at least 500 channels you know.
Jonas: But this one, this one is fantastic. I mean you have all of your weather from all over your planet right here. Even the long range forecasts. It's like predicting the future.
Sam: Well, there is some science involved.
Jonas: I know. What's in Nevada?
Sam: Do you like surprises?
Jonas: Sure. I love them. Hey Major? How do I know what colour to wear?
Sam: We call each other every morning.

Jonas: I can't stay here on the base for the rest of my life. I can't go back to my planet. They don't realise the threat that's out there. I can help them by helping you. I can also help finish what Dr. Jackson started.
Sam: Jonas... I understand why you want to join SG1 and I'm sorry, but I just don't see it happening.

Jonas: How can I even begin to make up for it if he won't give me the chance?

Jonas: Is this really a sport on this planet?

Teal'c: Are you injured Jonas Quinn?
Jonas: It'll take more than that. Tell you what. If I knock you down you'll have to talk to Colonel O'Neill for me.
Jonas: Okay. I'm okay. I wasn't ready. I'm ready now.

Jack: Hammond is insisting SG1 needs a sociopolitical nerd to offset our overwhelming coolness.
Teal'c: Have you considered Jonas Quinn?
Jack: Now I know you've been practicing, but I still can't tell. Is that a joke?
Teal'c: He wishes to join our fight against the Goa'uld.
Jack: He's and ali... en. He's an alien. The point is I don't think we need somebody else on the team. You, Carter, and I can handle things just fine.
Teal'c: You learned to trust me, O'Neill.
Jack: That's different.
Teal'c: I do not believe it is. Like me, Jonas Quinn may be an alien to this world, but he has vowed to commit himself to the cause of the Tau'ri.

Jonas: Still I'm usually much better at reading people.
Chekov: Major! Why was I not informed about the X302?
Jonas: For example, it might not be that obvious to everyone, but this man is actually very upset.

Sam: I bet you regret coming here now.
Jonas: We can't really think of it that way can we?
Sam: So what are you doing?
Jonas: You know, it's the stupidest thing, but it been bugging me since I've got here.
Sam: What's that?
Jonas: We're inside a mountain. The Gate obviously can't fit into any of these doors...
Sam: So how did we get it in here?
Jonas: Yeah.
Sam: The ceiling retracts. Above it is a shaft that leads to the surface and inside is a crane mechanism that hoisted the Gate down.
Jonas: Interesting.
Sam: Yeah.
Jonas: Does it go up?
Sam: Moving the Gate won't shut it off. I mean there is no where on Earth that...
Jonas: I knew you'd think of something.

Jack: Anything else?
Sam: Well, sir. If this works Jonas really deserves...
Jack: What? Deserves what?
Sam: I don't know. Something. He's the one who gave me the idea to do this, sir. He gave up everything to bring us the naquadria.
Jack: They hyperspace generator doesn't work.
Sam: That's not his fault.

Jonas: Colonel? Colonel have you got a moment?
Jack: Carter told me everything you did to help out. We all appreciate it. Thanks a lot. See you later.
Jonas: Colonel... Dr. Jackson is gone.
Jack: Yeah. I noticed that.
Jonas: Not a day goes by when I don't think about what happened. I stood by and watched while he saved my people from disaster. It should have been me who jumped through the glass, disarmed the device and he's gone because I didn't. you have to live with that and so do I.
Jack: You want me to make you feel better? It wasn't your fault. I don't blame you.
Jonas: If I could go back and change what happened I would do that, but I can't. All I can do is try and change what happens from now on. I don't want you to exonerate me. I just want to be given the opportunity to prove that I can make a difference.

Jonas: How do I look?
Sam: Uh, you might want to lose the helmet.
Jack: Good guess on the green.
Jonas: Thanks.
Hammond: SG1, you have a go.
